Korean Culture
Hi all. Recently, my friend Wendy asked if I could make a video for her son's grade school class about Korea. They are learning about different cultures. So, after much tinkering and and weeks of deciding what would be best for a short film and putting it all together, this is the result.
Wendy (hi Wendy!) has already viewed it and approved. I am now especially interested in what Sharlyn (hi Sharlyn) might think and if it would be good enough for her students. I know there is some issues with school permissions about viewing internet material so that might be a problem. Let me know if it's something you are interested in Sharlyn and I can try and figure a way to get it to you.
Either way, I hope you all enjoy.

I HAD ALREADY SEEN IT ON YouTube. I TRIED TO COMMENT THERE AND ADD STARS, BUT THEY WOULD NOT LET ME DO SO.
I AM NOT A TEACHER, HOWEVER I THINK YOU DID A REALLY GOOD JOB, IN ALL RESPECTS. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH WHAT YOU PRESENTED AND HOW YOU PRESENTED IT AND IMPRESSED WITH YOU, YOURSELF. A BORN GIFTED, FUN INSTRUCTOR-TEACHER! PEOPLE MUST SEE THIS, STAR IT, USE IT, SPREAD THE WORD!
Wow you continue to amaze me,a wonderful video, excellent presentation, your omo is right you are a born instructor, teacher ,what a terrific job,you get a five star rating from me! ***** You are and absolute natural in this field you have chosen and in which you love!
Glad you like the video! Thanks for your comments. Miss you all!
Hi David! The "flight" from Plattsburgh to Gyeongsan was great, especially with the geography labeled. You have applied multiple techniques that provide viewers with visuals and lasting impressions, which are effective for promoting students' abilities to get and remain interested in the video as well as retain information.
Suggestion: As an English teacher, remain consistent whenever referring to the plural (consistently use "are" rather than "is").
It would be wonderful if you could create another video, and edit the dialogue so that you are speaking to teenagers (my student population!).
Well done!
Thanks for the input Sharlyn. Good tips. I'll consider making a video for older students using the same themes. I'd have to rerecord all my footage of me, but that's not too difficult. Remember though, I'm not really a trained English teacher so I may make lots of mistakes. Thanks so much for your help!! Could you watch this on YouTube and please give it more stars so the one-star rating doesn't stick. Hee hee!
